September 27 The DebateVery disappointing…. Leading this great nation of ours requires true vision and neither man that took the stage last night possessed it. America is a super power, or once was, where did our leaders go that possessed the leadership qualities and true vision that would inspire the American public, like an FDR, Kennedy or Reagan. Yes, the dynamic duo expressed their beliefs, but in the end what occurred last night was a web of rehearsed rhetoric without vision. Words were spoken, jabs were traded, experience and temperament were questioned, but a visionary leader was not in that building. September 10 Lipstick On A PigFirst the pitbull and hockey mom lipstick reference, now the profound lipstick on a pig comment..... This lipstick visual has gone to far, so I willl end it right here and right now.
You can put lipstick on a pig but it's still be better looking than his wife!
September 08 Goodbye Olberman & MatthewsMSNBC announced today that Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews have both been booted as co-hosts on political night coverage in favor of David Gregory. All I have to say is.... HA HA HA HA!!! September 05 VP History - Bring Back The Original ProcessI feel that we, as a country, should reinstate the original process as to how the US Vice President was chosen. For many that do not know, The person receiving the greatest number of votes (provided that such a number was a majority of electors) would be president, while the individual who received the next largest number of votes became vice president. So the Vice President was not on a ticket or hand picked by a Presidential candidate or a party, the VP was the individual that basically came in second.
This lead to a very interesting situation in 1796 with John Adams who was elected President and Thomas Jefferson who, since having fewer votes than Adams, became the Vice President. The issue with this was they represented 2 different political parties (Federalist's & Democratic-Republican). I truly feel this would be the greatest test for any President, lead this great nation of ours with your advisory standing alongside of you as VP. Yes I know some may say, they do that now, like Obama picking Biden who were both at one point running for President, but both were from the same party. It would be much different, say John McCain was elected President and Barack Obama came in second and was McCain's VP. We need to change the face of politics in this country, and I am not talking about the BOGUS "Change" crap Obama is slinging. Let us put the government back the way our forefathers had it, it worked and very well. When did performing your civic duty as a political turn into a career or becoming a star? Our forefathers did it because it was the right thing to do, and they believed they could make a change and help society. Today's politician forgot that the government is "For the People, By the People.". So stop with the jet setting, Hollywood style settings (Why couldn't Obama deliver his convention speech at the convention, without the Greek pillars) and fix what is broken, not this country or its people, except the 12 million illegals, but Washington D.C. September 03 Facebook UpdateI know everyone has been waiting for me to return to Facebook...
After getting yet another email saying that Facebook was still reviewing my account for misuse, even after I received the email saying it was disabled by accident, I have finally been able to login..... YAY!!!! Sarah Palin????I still do not understand what the thinking behind this pick was. I know the shock value was part of it along with trying to pick up the liberal feminists that are pissed off about how Hilary was "supposedly" treated but come on, the best you could come up with is Sarah F'n Palin. I do not have any issue at all that he picked a woman, this kind of goes along the same idea of I don’t have a problem with a woman president, just not Hilary. He could not have found a more experienced person in the House or Senate? He had to pick a Governor of Alaska that has been in office for 1 1/2 years, was Mayor and on the Town Council of some PODUNK town and lets not forget, runner up for Miss Alaska (1984). Problems that should have been vetted out before this horrible pick:
I am like many people, What The F*%& Were You Thinking Mr. McCain.... Yes and many will say I am bitter because he did not pick Mitt Romney, in a way yes but I would have been ok with Tim Pawlenty or Elizabeth Dole. Now there is a woman I would stand behind knowing her credentials and experience. The scary thought of all of this is you have a Democratic Presidential candidate who has ZERO experience and is the most socialist liberal in history and his VP a plagiarizer but now you have a Republican Presidential candidate that has anger management issues, is 72 years old, who also is more of a Liberal than a Republican and his VP pick who is unknown, and for an unknown carrying a bunch of baggage already. People around the world must be scratching their heads saying "WHAT!!!!!" August 29 McCains VP ????John McCain introduced his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin ????????
Great this is not going to be good... August 28 GOP VPWell apparently McCain has picked his VP but we will not know until probably tomorrow, unless someone leaks it.
The lineup for speakers at the GOP convention next week has also been announced. Interesting that Pawlenty and Crist are slated for Thursday night. VP nominee speaks Wednesday night. Romney speaks before the VP slot on Wednesday night. Who does that leave? I swear if he picked Lieberman there is no way I will vote for him and he will loose the election as no conservative Republican in their right mind would vote for a McCain/Lieberman ticket. If he picks Romney he has my vote 100%, Pawlenty or Christ 80%-90%, Tom Ridge 70%. McCain needs the conservative vote to win. Lieberman is a joke, Christ & Pawlenty are good picks but unknowns and Ridge being Pro-Choice will blow out his chances of getting the conservatives on board. The one downside of Romney is that the TV Ads that McCain is running now with Biden and Hilary bashing Obama during the Democratic debates, "The white house does not lend itself to on the job training" Joe Biden, will be worthless as I know the Democrats will dig up the videos of McCain and Romney going at it. Even with that, Romney is far the best pick for VP, Conservatives and the Economy will win this election for McCain. August 27 Still Banned From Facebook6 Days and counting, since I had been booted off of Facebook. I finally recieved an email from Facebook after my 7 emails asking what I did wrong to get the boot.
Here you go...
Hi Ron,
In an effort to control a spam and phishing attack, Facebook's systems have accidentally disabled your account. A small subset of Facebook users had their accounts taken over when they provided login information on a malicious website or downloaded a virus to their computer. These people's accounts were used to spam friends with weird messages and Wall posts. When Facebook's systems detected this, the accounts were quickly shut down.
Unfortunately, we disabled some accounts that weren't actually compromised, including yours. We're working to refine our detection systems so this doesn't happen again. In the meantime, your account has been reactivated, and you can log in with your normal email and password. To learn more about Facebook security, check out our Page here: www.facebook.com/security <http://www.facebook.com/security> . It includes tips for how to be safe online as well as links to free anti-virus software. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Thanks for your understanding, The Facebook Team Damit... I figured I got the boot because I joined the "I Hate Obama" group...
And as of today, 2 days after I recieved this email, I still can not login in to Facebook. I wish I could offer this level of customer service at work and still keep my job. So I am actually not banned, I am just disabled. WOW!!! That makes me feel better.
Can Anyone Give An Example.. PLEASE!!!Watching the DNC tonight I do have to give credit to former President Bill Clinton for a fairly good speech but did not give alot of reasons as to why someone should vote for Obama. His comment about how he and Obama were the same "Too young and no experience", sorry Mr. President you’re not the same, you I am afraid to say, had more executive experience and at least had some accomplishments that people could bring to the table to show why you were ready to lead this great country. So far my favorite part, in Sean Hannity going after Dukakis who was pretty much run out of Massachusetts. He like many, so called Obama supporters, still even during the DNC give detailed reasons as to why Obama should be elected. Besides things like “He is smart”, “He has integrity” what else can someone say about Obama… NOTHING!!!!! And you want to talk about “Integrity” I could spend hours blogging about that part of Obama’s character. Don’t get me started with Rezco, Aires, Wright, etc… want me to keep going.. It is getting late. August 23 Talking about Joe Biden's Last Run ... 1987 ... "Plagiarism" YES!Posting from July 17, 2007 ..... Joe Biden's Last Run ... 1987 ... "Plagiarism" YES! Talking about Joe Biden is Insignificant This is great news having Joe Biden as Obama's running mate as all I need to do is drag out my old posting from July 2007.... Posting from July 11, 2007.... Joe Biden is Insignificant Joe Biden On Barack ObamaPriceless....
August 22 VP HysteriaI can not wait to see who Obama picks... I am hoping for Biden as the would secure the Republicans win in November. The hysteria around Obama's pick is unreal. I love the comment from him just the other day "I know who I am picking as my running mate but I am not telling...", are we still in High School, atleast McCain just says no comment.
August 19 Corzine Administration lunacy....As usual, my BlackBerry started vibrating around 6AM this morning, alerting me to the PolitickerNJ Wake Up e-mail round-up of recent political news stories circulating our beloved Garden State. Also as usual, my day started with another painful dose of Corzine Administration lunacy.... Last Friday's Bergen Record featured an article by columnist Herb Jackson about Trenton's opposition to oil and gas drilling off the coast of New Jersey. The piece was aptly titled: "Oil Spill Dangers Keep the State Wary of Drilling." The article cited experts in the energy field who said that New Jersey has significant oil and gas deposits off its shores and that such oil and gas can be recovered with minimal risk to the state's beautiful beaches. Kenneth Miller, chairman of the Geology Department at Rutgers, was quoted as saying that maintianing the ban on drilling "was not based on any rational thought." And what followed the opinion of the experts in that article, pray tell? Quotes from politicians asserting that drilling will hurt the environment and threaten New Jersey's shore tourism industry. As one would expect, the assertions weren't based on any facts, just more ideological drivel. But, Bob Menedez's bald faced predictions that New Jerseyan's would face an Exxon Valdez type disaster (which by the way was not the result of oil drilling, but the result of a tanker run aground - great analogy Senator!) were not the most ridiculous comments from our state's leaders. What I found most incredible were the statements by the President of the Board of Public Utilities, Jeanne Fox. She said that while the Corzine Administration is opposed to all drilling for oil and gas, it is exploring plans to build a terminal that will be able to receive shipments of natural gas from Egypt, Tabago, Tinidad and Nigeria. You've gotta be kidding me! Despite the fact that known natural gas reserves, capable of heating 150,000 New Jersey Homes, sit 90 miles off the coast of Atlantic City, the Corzine Administration is using your tax dollars to plan for the importation of gas from Trinidad!!! Yes, that's right. The State of New Jersey wants you to pay through the nose for imported gas from the Middle East (and other parts of the U.S.), when a sizeable and less costly supply exists right off our shores. Call Governor Corzine at (609) 292-6000 and tell him to stop playing games with New Jersey's Energy Security. |
Thanks for visiting....
